Hey guys, sorry it's been a while...schools been sucking the creative energy out of me. Second time in two months being sick...but i got off my butt today to show you guys a mini haul I did.
I went to the Murale Look Good Feel Better fundraiser event last month, and got a bunch of goodies. I also got a few lip colours from Sephora, and a random splurge on a Juicy Couture necklace. Oh ya, we have been planning for another editorial shoot with a few of these products, so stay tuned!
P.s. Doris's dog, Chloe was our model today. She pulled off the necklace quite well...don't you think?

Haul | Sephora & Tarte 5-Piece LipSurgence Collector Set
Sephora recently gave away a gift bag full of 6 deluxe sample items with purchase. I mainly went there to get my birthday freebie that I have missed every year till now (mini sugar lip treatment from fresh). But then..I saw this Tarte 5-Piece LipSurgence Collector Set for $44 CAD and I had a wtf moment. Those lip tints go at $31 for one. I don't want to say it's a no brainer, but let's just say, they go out of stock so fast. If you miss it this year, you might be able to get it next year. I believe this is only available around the holidays.
The only Tarte product I've ever owned was this lip exfoliant/balm duo that came with a mirror. It was good but I guess using your toothbrush to exfoliate your lips is equally as effective. I don't know if they still have it or at least in the same packaging (it's really old).
These lip tints seem really creamy, I was popping the lid off "enchanted" and I accidentally got some on myself (you'll see that dent in the pictures). There seems to be only one matte color (pictured in the middle), such a suiting name haha. As far as lasting power goes, I don't expect tooo much.
In the gift bag there was:
1 x Stilla tinted moisturizer in medium 5 mL
1 x Chloe eau de parfum 4mL
1 x Benefit the POREfessional in 7.5 mL
1 x Caudalie vinexpert firming serum 7 mL
1 x Hourglass film noir full spectrum mascara in onyx
1 x Ole Henriksen truth serum collagen booster 15 mL

Eco-Style | Sustainable Fashion
Apart from big names that are sitting comfortably at the top of the fashion industry (such as LV, Chanel, Burberry, Christian Dior to name a few), do you know what else is climbing its' way up the fashion ladder? Yup, and that would be sustainable fashion (or green fashion).
Anyways, it's sustainability week here at the University of Alberta! I'm (Carmen) part of a student group called Eco-Style, and we basically promote sustainable fashion throughout the campus and around Edmonton. You can find the facebook page here. We really do encourage donating your unwanted but still wearable clothes, and to thrift shop for awesome fashion finds at a great price. It's friendly to the environment and plus...your wallet would probably thank you.
As well, a huge thank you to Alyssa Lau from the Ordinary Peoples blog for being one of our models for this shoot. Check out her look book and blog! The girl's got some impressive style goin' on! As well thanks to the committee, all the stylists, makeup artists, Henry, and all other models for helping out!
Doris and I helped out with the photoshoot and makeup, so keep scrolling down for images. The theme is pretty much like a vintage house party. All clothing items are from Goodwill.
